Question Whats your New Years Resolution?

I must admit, i'm rather bad at keeping New Years Resolutions.

This year i've gone for eating more healthily ie less sweats, chocolates and other bad things! The end of 2008 just seemed to be a wirlwind of snacking!

So whats yours? It doesn't have to be diet related you know

My new year's resolutions are to do more exercise (I went for a quick walk with my lovely husband today), to see more of my friends who live far away and to start making my own lunch for work.

Default New Year Resolutions

I don't make resolutions 'cos I never keep them.

I did however, promise myself to get back to my smoking days weight - ie two stones lghter than I am now

Just started the Special K two week plan and have almost made it to the end of Day 1. Don't mind so much not eating a big meal but I do miss my wine in the evening!!

My new year's resolutions are to give blood, lose 1.5 stones, and start a new hobby! I have started the new hobby, am rejoining Slimming World on Wednesday, and tried to make an appointment to give blood today but no-one picked up the phone! Started off well though I think!

It's hard to stick to a resolution so when ever I get really hungry I make a bowl of whole oats, also known as Porridge oats in the UK. Cook it with fat free milk (about a cup of oats to half a pint of milk) and bring to the boil, then simmer for 2 minutes and it's done.
If you have a sweet tooth like me, then sprinkle some low calorie sugar or sweetener on the top. It will keep you feeling full for hours and contains very few calories.

I try not to do New Year's resolutions because I find I tend to put off stuff until the New Year rolls around. For instance, many people quit smoking as their resolution but end up failing to quit. Rather than waiting until the New Year rolls around again, why not try to quit again. Make a June resolution or a Summer resolution or even a Tuesday resolution.
