hi,
well done, on going from 16stone to 10stone. Do you know what your BMI is? Just curious, because if you are eating healthy and exercising too, then what's wrong with 11 stone? (unless you are under 5 feet in height). One of the reasons why its harder than before could be down to slowing of your metabolic rate (about 2% per year). - This could be down to reduced muscle mass as we age - 1 pound of muscle can burn 9 times the amount of calories as 1 pound of fat. If you already have a healthy diet and exercise; perhaps your answer could be strength training - to increase your muscle mass. |

If you're maintaining your current weight following your current diet and exercise routine, then you're at a good point. Granted you want to lose more weight but the fact that you can maintain your weight is a good thing. Rather than trying to tweak your diet, I would just increase your exercise to burn off those last pesky pounds. Perhaps, do a little more cardio like running or cycling in your routine. Once you get to your ideal weight, you can drop the extra cardio or reduce it in order to maintain your weight.

The best way to lose weight is to maintain a proper diet and exercise. I prefer to order my food from Bistro MD and I've lost weight with it. The trick is to maintain a low calorie diet, but at the same time it should be protein rich, so that you can stay active, work out and lose weight.
