The Cabbage Soup Diet
The cabbage soup diet is a 7-day program that restricts the intake of most foods but allows you to eat as much cabbage soup you want each day. Because the cabbage soup contains very little calories, eating a lot won’t cause you to gain weight. Since the soup will be your main source of sustenance for a week, the program guarantees weight-loss in 7 days. It is not unusual for dieters to lose 10-15 pounds in one week with this diet.
Aside from the cabbage soup, some fruits, vegetables and sources of protein like fish or meat in limited amounts, are included in the seven-day plan.
This diet is difficult to sustain because although there are various recipes for the cabbage soup available online and from other sources, most people can not go on eating mostly cabbages for more than seven days.
